Description of Significance/Historical Narrative
This early 19th century house was renovated by Modernist architect Henry Hebbeln who opened up the traditional wood frame south gable end wall replacing it with a two-story glass wall; a barn on the property served as studio for surrealist painter Arshile Gorky. Listed on the State Register as part of the Creative Places project.
