Description of Significance/Historical Narrative
Known as Bacon's Marble Block and once home to a billiard hall, in the 1930s and 1940s, painter Beatrice Cuming lived, worked and held private studio lessons in the upper floors. The building is a contributing resource in the Downtown New London Historic District.
