Description of Significance/Historical Narrative
Located in the Pomfret Street Historic District, the house was acquired by Pomfret School in the 1960s and serves as the Head's residence. The small early 20th-century cottage east of the house was home to Alice Dunbar during her years as a teacher at Pomfret School.
