Museum honoring Warner and her Boxcar Children book series.

Description of Significance/Historical Narrative
The characters in Gertrude Chandler Warner's "The Boxcar Children" lived in a railroad boxcar. The Aspinock Historical Society chose to preserve a period (c.1929) boxcar with exhibits and memorabilia to honor the author and her work. Sitting on a short section of track near the Putnam Railroad Station, it dramatically evokes Warner's literary series.
