Description of Significance/Historical Narrative
Listed on the National Register for its significance as a dairy farmstead with its largely intact vernacular farm architecture and rural landscape associated with generations of the Hine and Buckingham families, the two properties were purchased by musician, impresario and composer Skitch Henderson and his wife Ruth in 1968 and 1972, who sought to preserve the property by finding practical uses for its buildings.
