William Kent

Home and studio of Bill Kent from 1964 until his death in 2012; now a private foundation.

Description of Significance/Historical Narrative
The William Kent studio and house are significant as the work and living place of printmaker and sculptor Bill Kent for almost 50 years starting in 1964. The re-use of vacant agricultural structures allowed the artist to live inexpensively in a space that was ample enough for the creation of his wood sculptures, and to maintain a level of privacy which he desired. The property was listed on the State Register as part of the Creative Places project.
