Description of Significance/Historical Narrative
Weir Farm is a National Historic Site where the artist J. Alden Weir settled in 1882 and painted for nearly forty years. However it was also home to his daughter, Dorothy Weir, and her husband, sculptor Mahonri Young beginning in 1931. Young's studio is open to the public.
